our craft
Like the blacksmith with his anvil, three rivers hand-crafts the beauty of nature with the creativity of the human soul and imagination into every product it makes. three rivers prides itself on passion, dedication, and personal attention given to everything it creates. Just as no two snowflakes are alike, each hand-made wreath possesses its own unique form, and likeness guided by nature's balsam fir.
With over 30 years of wreath-making experience, Kirk Weyant and team has learned how to select the freshest greens, hand-craft the highest quality, and package the finished product for shipment. three rivers hand-picks greens daily for use by their wreath makers. Our wreaths are thickly fashioned with double-needled balsam tips.
One of the most common mistakes in the wreath making industry is to harvest the greens too early. Several hard frosts are necessary for balsam needles to "set" — that is, for the branches to retain the needles to minimize shedding. So at three rivers, the date to begin making wreaths depends on the weather. We would rather provide high quality wreaths than start early and have excessive needle drop. Our wreaths are rapid sellers at upscale garden centers and florist shops and we offer decorated wreaths that are popular charitable fundraisers. Special orders are welcome!
